Dr. Nicholas Cross was born and raised in Metairie, Louisiana. He also lived in Arizona where he attended high school, but his love for southern culture and beloved Tigers brought him back to the great state of Louisiana. Dr. Nick attended Louisiana State University and received his Bachelor of Science degree in Animal Sciences in 2008. He then attended Louisiana State University School of Veterinary Medicine and received his Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine in 2012. During his last two years of veterinary school, Dr. Nick had the privilege of caring for LSU’s live tiger mascot, Mike VI. Mike’s caretaker is considered by many to be one of the most prestigious and high profile jobs at the university. From there, he practiced in Indiana before joining the Pet Care Center staff in April 2014. As a veterinarian, his special interests include internal medicine and diagnostic imaging.
Dr. Nick resides in Covington with his significant other, Bethany. They live with their two furry, four-legged children, Desilu (dachshund) and Sweetie (terrier). He enjoys running, outdoor activities and of course, all LSU sports. Dr. Nick is a member of the American Veterinary Medical Association and Louisiana Veterinary Medical Association.
